Here's the deal; APS used to

Here's the deal; APS used to give 1000 feet of power extension free to new customers and make their money back as those customers paid their bills over the next few years. About the time the economy started to go South, they stopped doing that. Now they charge for the transformer and the drop down wire plus any other wire they have to install to get it to your house. This normally adds up to quite a few thousands of dollars.

To me this is irrational, theoretical thinking, and a lack of common sense, especially given the state of the economy. There are *some* who don't want the sprawl out here, but I think most of those people live in the higher popularized areas of the state, and I don't feel like they should have as much pull in this area as they do where they're at.

For the most part people who come here do so to get away from the HOA's, the congestion, and the rat race.
